US Route 66 or US Highway 66, also known as the Mother Road, was one of the original highways in the US Highway system. Established November 11, 1926, and road signs were erected the following years. The old highway runs through eight states and three time zones. The Main Street of America was decommissioned by the federal government in 1985, although much of it remains drivable today. Wikipedia

Joe Loesch was born on Route 66 in Maplewood, Missouri. He passed along his life-long love for The Mother Road to the band. Their passion for this Americana Icon led them to be recognized by the Route 66 Federation and presented with the Bobby Troup Artistic Achievement Award (below).
