Route 66
America's Main Street
US Route 66 or US Highway 66, also known as the Will Rogers Memorial Highway, the Main Street of America, or the Mother Road, was one of the original highways in the US Highway system. It was established on November 11, 1926, and road signs were erected the following year. The old highway runs through eight states and three time zones. Explore the Main Street of America, which was made obsolete by high-speed interstates and decommissioned by the federal government in 1985-although much of it remains drivable today. Wikipedia
